About this race

The Suffolk Coastal Path 50K is a point-to-point ultramarathon starting at Kensington Gardens in Lowestoft and finishing at Moot Hall in Aldeburgh, on the Suffolk coast. The opening 20km combines hard paths, quiet country lanes and scenic trail as the route winds inland, before continuing from Reydon straight through Southwold and around the River Blyth estuary. From there the course heads towards Dunwich on a mix of moorland and forest paths, passing the National Trust's Dunwich Heath and skirting the edge of RSPB Minsmere, before following coastal trails through to the finish. The terrain is a genuine mix of paved seafront paths, coastal dirt trails and country lanes, and the course is predominantly flat, making it an approachable, fast route well suited to road runners stepping up into trail ultra distance. Aid stations along the way are stocked with Precision Fuel & Hydration products, with a nine hour cut-off.
