Bovingdon 10K

The Bovingdon 10K starts and finishes at Bovingdon Football Club on Green Lane, on the edge of the village near Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. The certified, officially measured course heads out onto quiet country lanes through the surrounding countryside, taking in the villages of Belsize and Flaunden before looping back to the football club. The route is entirely on road, and road shoes are recommended rather than trail shoes, with two water stations positioned along the way. Traffic is light throughout, giving a genuinely scenic and peaceful running experience away from busier roads. Hosted jointly by Bovingdon Football Club and Gade Valley Harriers, it's capped at 300 runners to keep a village community feel, with prizes for the top three men and women plus age category winners. The day finishes with an awards ceremony, bar and barbecue back at the football club, alongside a family-friendly one-mile fun run around the pitches.
