Kirkcaldy Parks 10K Trail Race

The Kirkcaldy Parks 10K Trail Race starts and finishes within the grounds of Dunnikier Park in Kirkcaldy, Fife, covering two laps of approximately 5km each. Each lap heads out through the gently undulating woodland surrounding the park and along tracks around the outside of Dunnikier Park Golf Course, before returning past the park to begin the second circuit. The terrain is genuine multi-surface trail, mixing grass, tarmac, gravel, soft trail and field edge underfoot, so appropriate off-road footwear is recommended. Held on the Saturday of the wider Kirkcaldy Parks Running Festival weekend, it runs alongside the shorter 5k trail race on the same course network. The event is professionally organised, fully chip timed and supported by enthusiastic marshals along the route, giving a scenic taste of trail running ahead of the following day's headline half marathon.
