About this race
The Dartford Bridge 10K takes place on The Bridge estate in Dartford, Kent, just off the M25 near the Dartford Crossing, with runners parking at Crosswater, Lake View House, Rennie Drive. The race starts and finishes on site and follows a two-lap route around both of the estate's lakes, taking in a mix of estate roads and paths. Runners cross the Fast Track guided busway partway around the course, marshaled at all times for safety, before continuing onto the second lap via a water station near the halfway point. The largely flat, lakeside setting makes for a scenic and sheltered course close to the Dartford Crossing. A children's 2km fun run, held after the main event, follows a shorter loop once around the south lake on a gravel path. The race has built a loyal following over its many editions at this long-running Kent venue.
Course profile & record eligibility
World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.
