Totton Running Club 10K

The Totton Running Club 10K starts and finishes at Stanley's Own Scout HQ on Romsey Road in Copythorne, just outside Totton near Southampton in Hampshire. The course covers two laps of a closed 5km road route through the village, with some undulation along the way rather than a completely flat profile. As organisers put it, what goes up must come down, and the course is genuinely capable of producing fast times despite the rolling terrain. Officially measured and chip timed under UK Athletics licence, it forms part of the Hampshire Road Race League and suits a Power of 10 personal best. The race is not run for profit, with proceeds supporting the local parish church and Scout groups. Every finisher receives a technical t-shirt and goody bag, with prizes for the top three men and women and age grade trophies, plus bacon sandwiches and a hot drink waiting at the finish.
