About this race
The Leighton Fun Runners' Leighton 10K starts and finishes in Pages Park on Billington Road in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. The mixed-terrain route heads out around the town's local parks, paths and trails, giving a scenic, largely traffic-free feel despite crossing three main roads along the way, each staffed by fully briefed volunteer marshals to keep runners safe. The surface combines parkland grass and gravel with sections of tarmac path, making it a genuinely varied 10K rather than a pure road race. Organised by the volunteer-run Leighton Fun Runners club, the event has built a loyal following since it began, with every finisher receiving a medal and the customary post-race cake back at Pages Park. Now under new race directorship for 2026, all proceeds are being donated to Leighton Buzzard Mencap, supporting local people with a learning disability through community clubs, activities and outings.
