About this race

The Malham 10K starts and finishes at Malham Show Field in the heart of Malham village, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The shorter of the event's two trail distances still takes in the area's famous landmarks, passing Malham Cove, the huge curved limestone cliff formed by a waterfall at the end of the last ice age, and Malham Tarn, one of the highest lakes in England. A climb up to Weets Top provides the toughest section of the course, rewarding runners with a long descent and sweeping views across the Dales on the way back down. The terrain is genuine off-road trail throughout, on limestone paths and open moorland rather than road, and the route is only partially waymarked, so runners are expected to carry a map or GPX file. Supported by Asics and Sportsshoes.com, it's the closing race of the Due North Trail Trilogy.
