About this race
The Kirkcaldy Parks Half Marathon starts and finishes in Beveridge Park, in the historic Fife town of Kirkcaldy, known locally as the "Lang Toun". The route takes in several of the town's landmark green spaces, passing through Dunnikier Park and Ravenscraig Park before joining the Fife Coastal Path for stretches of stunning sea views and the historic village of Dysart. The final few miles follow Kirkcaldy's newly refurbished Waterfront, including a flat, measured mile popular with local running clubs and walkers. The course is genuinely undulating, mixing free hills with fast flats and downhills, giving both a testing challenge and real PB opportunities depending on the stretch. Run under UK Athletics rules as a Scottish Athletics permit event with a three-hour time limit, it's Fife's only half marathon, fully chip timed with well stocked water stations and enthusiastic marshals supporting runners throughout this memorable tour of the town.
