About this race

The Abersoch 20K Trail starts and finishes on the golden sands of Abersoch Beach, on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales. The route follows the coastal path past Tudwal's Islands and Porth Ceiriad, continuing out to Porth Neigwl, known as Hell's Mouth, before looping back through Cilan and rejoining the coastal path near Porth Ceiriad for the return to Abersoch Beach. The course is genuine multi-terrain, mixing coastal tracks and trails with a little road and a stretch of beach, and climbs over 1,200 feet across the distance, giving it a properly hilly, testing profile. Water stations are positioned at 5km, 11km and 15km, with bespoke medals for every finisher and cash prizes for the leading men and women. Part of the wider Abersoch Triple Crown series, the race finishes to live music, massages and a beach bar on the shoreline.
