About this race
The Andover Trail Half Marathon starts and finishes in Enham Alamein, just outside Andover in Hampshire, following the Testway through the Test Valley. The 13.1 mile loop heads up to the village of Hurstbourne Tarrant before following scenic tracks back down to Enham, sharing the opening stages of its route with the longer marathon. The terrain is genuine off-road trail throughout, mixing countryside tracks, woodland paths and rural farmland, with rolling climbs and fast descents giving a testing but manageable profile. A single, fully stocked aid station sits at the halfway point, with the course fully marked the day before racing and marshals on hand at major crossings. With a generous 3.5 hour cut-off and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, it's well suited to seasoned runners chasing a personal best as well as those looking for a proper introduction to trail half marathon racing, in aid of the Enham Trust.
