About this race

The Burnham-on-Sea Half Marathon starts and finishes at the BASC Sports Ground on Stoddens Road in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, opening with a short loop of the ground itself before heading out onto the surrounding roads. From Stoddens Road the route turns onto Queens Drive at the Tesco roundabout, then left at Edithmead roundabout into the village of Brent Knoll, running with the hill on the right-hand side. The course continues through Lympsham via West Road, then Wick Road and Red Road into Berrow, before returning along Berrow Road and Stoddens Road for a final loop of the sports ground to the finish. The surface is entirely closed-road tarmac, and the flat, fast circular course has genuine PB potential, with pacers provided for a range of finish times. Marking its 40th anniversary in 2026, the race regularly sells out and forms part of the Somerset County AA Road Race Championships.
