About this race

The Oxford Half Marathon starts and finishes on Mansfield Road, right in the heart of the city, following a route introduced in 2025. The 13.1 mile course winds through the pristine, historic streets of Oxford, passing landmarks including the Bodleian Library, the Sheldonian Theatre and Radcliffe Camera, before heading out to Old Marston village and along the River Cherwell. The route also takes in Oxford University's Lady Margaret Hall before returning to the city centre. The surface is entirely closed-road tarmac, and the course is flat and fast, with next to no elevation gain, making it a genuinely PB-friendly route for first-timers and experienced runners alike. Organised by Motiv Sports UK, the event has sold out three years running and raised over £1.5 million for more than 180 charities in 2025 alone, with an event village offering food, drinks, live bands and DJs at the finish.
