About this race
The Cromane Seafest 10 Mile Run starts in Cromane Lower, a scenic spot on the Kerry coast with views across to the Brandon Range, Sliabh Mish on the Dingle Peninsula and the MacGillycuddy's Reeks to the south. The single-loop route heads towards the local church and past the Community Centre along the main roadway, before continuing through Stookisland to a crossroads where a right turn leads up Dook's Mountain road. From there the course passes a beautiful bog lake, taking in off-road views across traditional bogland, Lough Yganavan and out towards the Cromane Peninsula, before looping back to the finish. The terrain is a genuine mix of road and off-road track, reflecting the varied coastal and boggy countryside it passes through. Held as part of the wider Cromane Seafest festival, it's open to runners, joggers and walkers of all levels, with water stations, a medal and finisher's top for everyone.
